PARKWOOD PW510 & 520 Cort

DREADNOUGHT

This is the most popular body shape used by many makers. Well suited for many different styles of music. It works well with both finger style and pickers alike.

Polished thin high gloss finish

The 5 Series uses a thinly applied high gloss finish to bring out the true beauty of the wood while being thin enough not to interfere with the natural vibrations and tone of the woods. The thinner finish helps the tone and lets you hear more of the wood in the guitar, instead of a thick plastic soundng finish. Parkwood is concerned about tone first, looks and everything else is secondary. This hard and durable finish will protect your guitar for years.

TOP - Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis)

Sitka Spruce comes from the Pacific northwest and today is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka is a bit stronger and stiffer than other spruces. Its strength and toughness make it well suited for steel string guitars. “Bearclaw”Spruce is sometimes available on certain models.

BACK & SIDES - Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia baroni)

Rosewood is a resinous, dense, very hard wood. It gets its name because the resins of the freshly cut tree give off a rese-like fragrance. Very resonant producing a deep, warm projective bass response.
